Job summary

Oldham County Schools is seeking an experienced School Nutrition Elementary Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at an assigned school site. The role ensures compliance with District, State, and Federal requirements while managing cafeteria staff and daily meals service.

The position requires leadership to supervise cooks, schedule staff, and uphold food safety standards, with a 7-hour workday and 184 contract days per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete state training curriculum before permanent employment.
• Must complete SNA Level I Certification training within the second year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, plan and supervise the work of cafeteria employees.
• Schedule and evaluate staff.
• Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, meet schedules and timelines.
• Knowledge of Point-of-Service (POS) program.
• Process the daily deposit and take to bank as needed.
• Other duties as assigned to assure a high-quality lunch program.
