Job summary

Bridgeport Elementary in Frankfort, KY is seeking a School Nutrition Program Manager to lead cafeteria operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal lunch program requirements.

Reporting to the School Nutrition Program Director and Principal, you will manage menus, inventory, daily records, deposits, and staff scheduling, under the Food Service Salary Schedule (FS7) with 185 days yearly. This full-time, non-exempt position offers opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must understand oral and written directions.
• Ability to work with others in a team.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in food preparation.
• High school diploma, GED or progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law; one year food service experience.
• Must complete training for certification of beginning school nutrition personnel.
• Must re-certify annually.

Responsibilities

• Designates, assigns, and schedules cafeteria work.
• Supervises lunch serving line and major cooking tasks.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and proper storage of food.
• Keeps records of shipments, inventory, hours, receipts, and participation.
• Prepares daily/monthly participation reports and submits to Director.
