Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a licensed school counselor to support the academic, personal, social and career development of all students. The role includes individual and group counseling, implementing programs addressing decision making, coping strategies, self-esteem, and crisis prevention/intervention.

Responsibilities include collaborating with parents, teachers, and community agencies, maintaining student counseling records, and serving as a liaison for at-risk students

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and student safety.
• Bilingual ability in English and a specified world language.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services on an individual/group basis and guidance for students and families.
• Coordinate with parents, teachers and staff to support student development.
• Plan and implement programs addressing social, emotional, and academic needs.
• Serve as liaison with community/government agencies for student services.
