Job summary

Penn Manor School District seeks an Elementary Building Aide to support teachers and administration in a busy school setting. You will help supervise students before and after school, assist in classrooms and hallways, and help maintain a safe, orderly learning environment for K-6 students.

You will participate in tests, provide clerical support, and help implement classroom accommodations while maintaining confidentiality and following district policies. Hours are 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Paraprofessional training is preferred.
• Previous experience with students is required/preferred.
• Valid PA Driver’s license and/or access to independent transportation is required.
• Pre-employment requirements as designated by the PA School Code.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising students before the school day begins and/or at dismissal to ensure transportation.
• Assist with school-wide testing for grades K-6.
• Provide assistance to areas within the school building including the office, hallways, and restrooms.
• Assist in the classroom or in small groups at the direction of the teacher or administrator.
• Assist students in emergency situations—fire drills, evacuation drills, etc.
