Job summary

Lincoln Academy in Pleasant Grove, UT seeks a passionate Reading Specialist for 3rd–5th grade. This part-time role focuses on targeted literacy intervention and collaboration with teachers and families to support students' reading growth.

You will assess reading abilities using screening and progress-monitoring tools, develop individualized plans, monitor progress, and participate in MTSS discussions to drive data-informed decisions. A related degree in Education or Literacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with elementary students preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of literacy assessment tools and progress monitoring.
• Ability to analyze assessment data and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Education, Literacy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct reading intervention and literacy support to 3rd-5th grade students.
• Assess student reading abilities using screening, diagnostic, and progress-monitoring tools.
• Develop and implement individualized literacy intervention plans.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support effective reading instruction and differentiated learning strategies.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
• Participate in MTSS meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
• Recommend instructional materials and resources to support literacy development.
• Support the implementation of school-wide literacy initiatives and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student growth and a love of reading.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
