Job summary

Lincoln Academy in Pleasant Grove, UT seeks a passionate Reading Specialist for 3rd–5th grade. This part-time role focuses on targeted literacy intervention and collaboration with teachers and families to support students' reading growth.

You will assess reading abilities using screening and progress-monitoring tools, develop individualized plans, monitor progress, and participate in MTSS discussions to drive data-informed decisions. A related degree in Education or Literacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with elementary students preferred but not required.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Education, Literacy, or related field.

Lincoln Academy is seeking a passionate and student-centered Reading Specialist to support literacy development for students in 3rd - 5th Grade. The Reading Specialist provides targeted reading intervention, collaborates with teachers and families, and helps students build the foundational skills necessary for lifelong academic success. • Knowledge of evidence-based reading instruction and literacy intervention strategies.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with educational technology and student data systems.
