Job summary

The position requires a Master’s degree and PA administrative certification, with five years in public education and supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in public education necessary.
• Assistant principal or supervisory experience is helpful.
• Master’s degree required.
• Proper Pennsylvania administrative certification necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate professional, indirect, and service personnel; assist in interviewing prospective teacher candidates and participate in the selection, supervision, and assignment of all school building personnel.
• Assist in orientation, pre-service, and in-service training of teachers with responsibility for instruction of administrative procedures; supervise substitutes.
• Plan, coordinate, and maintain records of staff meetings for proper functioning of the school.
• Administer registration, orientation, and assignment of pupils; supervise attendance and discipline; oversee student records.
• Establish and maintain an effective learning climate; supervise instructional program and school activities.
• Assume responsibility for safety and administration of school grounds, equipment, and supplies; plan drills and inventory.
• Establish goals and building initiatives; prepare and monitor budget and local funds.
• Implement policies and procedures and recommend changes as needed.
• Prepare or supervise reports, records, and information for school administration.
• Serve as educational leader who develops and facilitates professional development.
