Job summary

Southern Tioga School District in Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified administrator to lead Warren L Miller Elementary as a 12 Month Administration position. The role focuses on staff development, school safety, strategic planning, and strong school/community relations.

The successful candidate will supervise personnel, prepare budgets, ensure compliance with state requirements, and advance the district’s vision.

Qualifications

Five (5) years experience in public education necessary, including secondary school instruction.
Assistant principal or supervisory experience is helpful.
Master's degree required.
Proper Pennsylvania administrative certification necessary.
Pre-employment medical examination and criminal history clearance reports required as per state codes.
Arrest/Conviction report and related certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and evaluate professional, indirect, and service personnel; assist in interviewing prospective teacher candidates and participate in personnel decisions.
Assist in orientation, pre-service, and in-service training of teachers; supervise substitutes.
Plan, coordinate, and maintain records of staff meetings and school functioning.
Administer pupil registration, attendance, discipline, and testing programs; oversee student records.
