Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools is seeking a Principal to drive instructional excellence and a college-preparatory culture across a diverse urban elementary setting. You will observe classrooms, co-plan units, lead data cycles, and support professional growth for staff while engaging families in student achievement.

As a school leader, you will collaborate with the Director of Schools and oversee reports including Assistant Principals, operations staff, and teachers, fostering a high-expectation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience teaching in an urban school classroom with significant gains.
• 3+ years as Principal or equivalent at urban elementary level with diverse student population.
• Experience managing, coaching and developing teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership by observing classrooms and giving feedback.
• Co-plan units and lesson plans; lead data analysis cycles for planning.
• Lead professional development, culture, and behavior in shared spaces and events.
• Partner with parents, families and community leaders to support student achievement.
• Hire, promote, staff and make staffing decisions for the school.
