Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools seeks an Assistant Principal to drive academic achievement and build a rigorous college-prep culture across a K-5 context. APs work with the Principal to implement instructional vision, lead grade-level teams, and support teachers, while guiding data cycles and classroom observations.

You will help develop educators, foster parent engagement, and contribute to a collaborative leadership culture with professional development and cross‑school collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience teaching in an urban city classroom with gains.
• Deep knowledge of elementary instruction and planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills and personal drive.

Responsibilities

• Develop educators through ongoing coaching and professional development.
• Lead data-driven instruction and cycle analyses to inform planning.
• Manage grade-level teams and support staff effectively.
• Collaborate with Special Education to maximize inclusive instruction.
• Deliver teaching when needed to model the school approach.
