Job summary

Playworks is seeking a Site Specialist to bring healthy play and physical activity to two elementary schools in Denver, CO. You will train for two weeks before the school year and run on-site programs focused on safe games, conflict resolution, and active engagement.

You will partner with schools to deliver recess coaching, Junior Coach leadership, and class-time activities, while maintaining strong communication with staff and families and supporting program planning and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering play-based programming.
• Ability to lead youth leadership and conflict-resolution trainings.
• Strong communication with school staff, families, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement sports and play-based programming during recess, in school, and after school hours.
• Lead Junior Coach Leadership Program trainings for students in 4th–6th grade.
• Lead class game time and in-class activities to prepare students for recess.
• Maintain communications between Playworks and school staff/families/volunteers.
• Support program scheduling, timesheets, and evaluations.
