Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Elementary Paraeducator to supervise students and support instructional activities at Lake Dolloff Elementary. Under the supervision of a classroom teacher, you will assist with basic skills development and monitor safety during the school day.

This part-time position (3 hours per day, Monday through Friday) offers a daily schedule from 10:50am to 1:50pm and a pay rate of $26.55 to $29.29 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• AA degree, OR
• High school diploma and 48 college-level credits or 72 college-level credits, OR
• High school diploma and pass the paraeducator assessment test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students throughout the school day according to policies.
• Report safety concerns to the principal.
• Help students problem solve and resolve conflicts.
• Tutor individuals or groups in specific skills as directed by teachers.
• Plan daily/weekly with teachers and staff servicing the same students.
• Assist with room maintenance and inventory of books/equipment.
• Assist with health-related procedures for students.
