Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District is seeking an Assistant Manager for Nutrition Services at Greenfield Elementary. This 9-month, 6-hour-per-day position supports the Nutrition Services Manager with daily operations, food preparation, meal service, and compliance with USDASBP and NSLP meal pattern regulations.

The role includes supervising staff, training, cash handling, POS operation, and generating production and inventory reports. Fingerprint clearance is required prior to processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a school food service setting is desirable.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking per standardized recipes.
• Supervise food service staff as directed by the Food Service Manager.
• Train food service workers and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist with inventory, storage, and production of food.
• Operate POS and run daily WebSmart reports.
• Place orders monthly and manage cash prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with SBP and NSLP meal patterns and health requirements.
