Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to help students at a local Wisconsin school. You’ll work in groups, 20–30 minutes, delivering proven activities and coaching students toward stronger skills.

This AmeriCorps role runs 35 hours per week during the 2026-27 school year, with a paid stipend of $17.00 per hour, plus benefits including health insurance and education support. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma, pass a background check, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
