Qualifications

• Postgraduate license with Math Specialist endorsement or enrollment in prep program within 1 year
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience, with at least three years in math at the appropriate grade level span
• Ability to provide school-level leadership on curriculum, pacing, and resources for math instruction
• Proven ability to analyze data at multiple levels and support MTSS initiatives
• Experience with innovative teaching techniques and math instruction practices

Responsibilities

• Monitors math instruction and provides ongoing coaching to improve performance
• Ensures alignment of lesson plans and instruction to Virginia Standards of Learning
• Facilitates high-impact, differentiated math instruction for diverse learners
• Provides non-evaluative feedback and supports professional development
• Analyzes student data to identify math PD needs and improvement opportunities
• Assists administrators in identifying strengths and improvements in math
• Models professionalism and supports continuous improvement in the math program
• Ensures all students meet grade-level expectations in math
