Job summary

Alabaster City Schools is looking for a School Based Instructional Coach for Elementary Math to support teachers in enhancing math instruction. The role requires at least five years of teaching experience and a valid Alabama certification to ensure students are college and career-ready.

The coach will work closely with principals and faculty to implement effective mathematics strategies, monitor student progress, and facilitate professional learning opportunities. This position is critical to elevate student achievement in mathematics while promoting data-driven instructional practices.

Qualifications

• A valid Alabama certificate in elementary education and holds a master's degree or has completed professional development.
• A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in the elementary math classroom.
• Knowledge of, and experience in, math curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Support improvement of Tier 1 instruction to ensure students do not fall behind.
• Collaborate with the school principal to improve student achievement in mathematics.
• Facilitate schoolwide mathematics professional learning.
