Lake Washington School District in Redmond is seeking a paraeducator to assist teaching staff and maintain an orderly classroom at Einstein Elementary. This 183‑day calendar position works 4.5 hours per day with a 9:05am–2:10pm shift and may be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, or office tasks.

Qualifications include: at least eighteen years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an AA or two years of college credits, or passing ParaPro or Pearson assessments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff by completing instructional tasks and maintaining an orderly classroom.
• Support classroom, lunchroom, library, before/after school programs, or office duties as assigned.
• Elementary assignments may include crossing guard and playground supervision.
