Lake Washington School District in Redmond is seeking a paraeducator to assist teaching staff and maintain an orderly classroom at Einstein Elementary. This 183‑day calendar position works 4.5 hours per day with a 9:05am–2:10pm shift and may be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, or office tasks.
Qualifications include: at least eighteen years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an AA or two years of college credits, or passing ParaPro or Pearson assessments.

Hourly Rate: $27.71/an hour (SC11SEIU26-27.pdf) Position is eligible for membership in the Service International Employees Union No. 925
This position is posted in accordance with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9 The position will be posted internally for five (5) workdays. The internal posting will close on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026.
Interested employees must submit an Internal Application. To be eligible for transfer, employees must meet the posted qualifications and have been in their current position for at least six (6) months. Qualified applicants will be contacted directly.
If no internal candidates are selected for transfer, the position will be posted for one (1) week to consider both internal and external applicants.
Assists teaching staff by completing instructional tasks and maintaining an orderly classroom to provide a positive learning environment. May be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, before or after school academic programs, or office. At elementary level, assignment includes crossing guard and playground duties. May be assigned to an individual student or work with entire classroom.
