Job summary

Lake Washington School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist teaching staff and maintain an orderly classroom across various settings including study hall and testing rooms.

The position involves possible assignments to classrooms, lunchroom, library, and before/after-school programs, and may support individual students or whole classes. 18+ and required credentials are noted with a background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• AA degree or higher OR 72 college quarter credit hours OR ParaPro 455+ OR Paraprofessional 220+ score.
• Official documentation required upon hire.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff by completing instructional tasks.
• Maintain an orderly classroom to support a positive learning environment.
• Primary role: manage study hall and testing room.
• May be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, before- or after-school programs, or office.
• May work with an individual student or with an entire classroom.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree (AA) or higher

72 college quarter credit hours or higher (two years of study)
