Job summary

Einstein Elementary, part of the Lake Washington School District, is seeking an Instructional Assistant for a 4.5-hour day schedule (9:05am–2:10pm) within a 183-day calendar. The role supports classroom teaching, maintains order, and contributes to a positive learning environment at the elementary level.

The position may serve in classrooms, lunchrooms, libraries, before/after school programs, or office, and includes crossing guard and playground duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent, or have an AA or two years of college coursework, or have passed ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists teaching staff by completing instructional tasks and maintaining an orderly classroom to support a positive learning environment.
• May be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, before/after school programs, or office; elementary assignments include crossing guard and playground duties.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; AA or 2 years college completed; ParaPro or Paraprofessional assessment
