Job summary

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health care needs.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work to support teachers in the classroom.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Provides instruction to students in individual or group activities to reinforce learning concepts and goals.
• Maintains instructional materials and records and classroom equipment.
• Monitors students during assigned periods to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
