Job summary

SFUSD is seeking an Instructional Aide - Elementary Basic Skills to support teachers in math, reading, science, social studies and writing for kindergarten through elementary grades. This temporary, part-time role follows the school calendar and pays hourly between $31.52 and $36.87.

The strongest candidates will be Cantonese-fluent, possess an Associates degree or 48 college units with a high school diploma, and demonstrate strong classroom support, organization, communication and data-informed

Qualifications

• Education credentials as listed: Associate degree or higher, or 48 college units with a high school diploma.
• Cantonese fluency (reading, writing, verbal translation) is required.
• Ability to use basic instructional technology and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning lessons and preparing instructional materials.
• Supervises and tutors individuals or small groups in math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.
• Administers tests and reviews assignments; maintains pupil profiles/portfolios.
• Prepares and maintains instructional equipment and supplies; records usage.
• Maintains classroom discipline and supports positive learning environments.
