Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking a dedicated Group Tutor to join a single school site, providing in-person academic support to elementary students (K-6) in small groups.

The ideal candidate will manage group dynamics, deliver age-appropriate lessons in reading, writing, and math, track progress, and collaborate with site coordinators and teachers to align tutoring with the curriculum. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and in-person work; FBI background check and TB test are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a closely related field (Required).
• Current teaching credential or enrollment in a teacher preparation program is a strong plus.
• Experience tutoring or teaching elementary-age youth in group settings.
• Ability to clear FBI-DOJ background check in-person.
• Negative TB test result.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication with children, parents, and school staff.
• In-person work at designated school site.

Responsibilities

• Group Instruction: Deliver high-quality academic tutoring and enrichment to small groups of K-6 students.
• Curriculum Delivery: Implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that reinforce core subjects (reading, writing, and mathematics).
• Group Management: Maintain a positive, organized, and encouraging classroom environment that keeps young learners focused and motivated.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor student progress, adapt instruction to meet group learning needs, and provide constructive feedback.
• On-Site Collaboration: Work closely with school-site coordinators and classroom teachers to align tutoring efforts with current school curriculum.
