Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking an Elementary Teacher – Mainstream/ESL to support student growth in our campuses. The role emphasizes TEA-aligned instruction and collaboration with colleagues to implement effective lessons.

You will design lessons, assess student progress, and communicate with families to foster a positive learning environment. The position requires ESL certification within the first year if not already held and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or appropriate out-of-state certificate; ESL certification required during the first year if not already obtained.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements must be met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet all federal and state requirements for qualification and continued eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans with written preparation evidence.
• Prepare lessons accommodating different learning styles.
• Present subject matter following TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Conduct assessments to inform instruction and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with the special education teacher to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
