Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state certificate. ESL Certification required within first year.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet federal and state requirements for qualification and continued eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy; develop and implement lesson plans with written prep evidence.
• Prepare lessons for diverse learning styles and needs.
• Present material per Texas TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Assist in setting instructional goals with staff and plan for aides/volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning processes.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
