Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and, optionally, further postsecondary study.
• Proficient in typing/keyboarding, office machines, filing, and clear written and oral communication.
• Experience with children in an educational setting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing materials and equipment for instructional activities.
• Schedule space for programs and coordinate arrangement of desks and chairs.
• Assist in preparing for curriculum changes to meet diverse student needs.
• Lead small group activities as directed by the teacher.
• Support in collecting assessment data and maintaining records.
• Provide instructional assistance as planned by teachers or administrators.
• Maintain records documenting student performance and behavior.
