Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise teacher to share gospel with students in a classroom setting. The role requires a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with both churched and unchurched students.

The teacher will complete training, use LifeWise curriculum, maintain attendance and records, and foster a redemptive, organized classroom environment while promoting LifeWise's religious mission in all duties.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize as needed.
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, and information for substitute teachers.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and manage emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director; promote LifeWise mission.
