Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share biblical lessons with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum. The role emphasizes building relationships, caring for students, and maintaining a redemptive classroom atmosphere.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (school or church) and demonstrates active church involvement in line with LifeWise Faith statements. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer
• Maintain an organized, encouraging and engaging classroom environment
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records as needed
• Maintain class rosters including health concerns and permissions
• Prepare information for substitute teachers as needed
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers about schedules and student well-being
• Submit regular updates and photos to the program director
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions
