Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools seeks an Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher to support students with special needs across Brookwood, Southwood, and Townline Elementary. Location to be determined for the 2022-2023 school year.

The teacher will implement district-approved curriculum, document progress, develop IEPs, and collaborate with PPTs, families, and outside agencies to maximize learning outcomes. Strong knowledge of ASD, CPI strategies, differentiated instruction, and data-informed

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification.
• Special Education endorsement in ASD preferred.
• Commitment to meeting state PD requirements.
• Knowledge of ASD instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Administers assessments and participates in IEP development.
• Differentiates instruction to support diverse learners.
• Collaborates with PPTs and families to support progress.
• Maintains accurate records and tracks student outcomes.
• Applies CPI techniques to manage behaviors.
