Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools seeks an Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year across Brookwood, Townline, Southwood, Endeavor and Discovery Elementary Schools.

You will maximize learning for students with special needs, implement district curricula, document progress, and coordinate with support staff. The role requires Michigan teaching certification with ASD endorsement preferred and active collaboration with families and PPT teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with appropriate ASD endorsement preferred.
• Experience implementing IEPs and behavior plans is expected.
• Familiarity with CPI strategies and data collection practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess students and contribute to IEP development and revisions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs in ASD programs.
• Coordinate with staff to implement individualized education plans and behavioral supports.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to families.
