Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Apache Junction, AZ, is seeking an Elementary Art Teacher to join the Blossom Rock Academy campus. You will teach art within the Great Hearts curriculum, fostering creativity and disciplined study in a joyful classroom.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and U.S. work authorization. Certification is not required for general education, and all majors are welcome. Travel and background checks are standard.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.

Required/Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
