Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools is seeking an Academic Interventionist for Endeavor Elementary. You will reinforce reading, language arts, and mathematics, working with students individually and in small groups to implement targeted programs.

The role supports professional staff, assists with record-keeping, and helps with behavior management to create a safe, productive learning environment. High flexibility for field trips and non-instructional duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 90 college credits from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan teacher’s certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts and mathematics.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Support instructional material development and implementation.
• Maintain records of student learning and performance.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
• Supervise non-instructional activities like lunch, bus duty, playground, and study hall.
• Accompany students on field trips where needed.
