Job summary

Monument Elementary in Quincy, Washington seeks a Behavior Technician 1:1 to support high‑risk students within the instructional program under the supervision of a certificated teacher. The role requires developing and implementing behavior and instructional plans, maintaining documentation, and communicating with staff, students, and families.

Training may include 1:1 safety supports and adaptive daily tasks under guidance of the school nurse and specialists.

Qualifications

• Two years of study at a higher education institution.
• Associate’s degree OR pass the ParaPro Assessment.
• Experience working with P-12 students.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Basic computer literacy and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support high-risk students 1:1 under certificated teacher supervision.
• Develop plans, materials, and activities for students.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Record data and monitor student behavior and progress.
• Assist with daily routines and transitions across settings.
• Support alternative communication strategies with students.
