Job summary

Casa Monica Resort and Spa, Autograph Collection, part of Kessler Hotels, in St. Augustine seeks a Banquet Server. You will set up and serve at banquet functions, ensuring guest satisfaction with attentive service and adherence to hotel standards.

The role requires readiness for long shifts, ability to read BEOs, and accurate menu knowledge, delivering courteous, professional service in a historic luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attitude of attentiveness, courtesy and service.
• Initiative to anticipate guest or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and serve food and beverages for banquet functions per hotel standards.
• Read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and menu details.
• Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, professional manner.
• Respond to guest issues and inform management as needed.
• Set tables according to standards and maintain banquet storeroom.
• Clean banquet spaces after events and restock supplies.
• Prepare rooms per BEO and meal functions.
• Follow money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Know menu items and provide accurate descriptions.
