Job summary

Atlantic Health System Heart Care in Morristown, NJ seeks an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to manage patients with rhythm disorders and follow patients through EP procedures and device management. You will work with EPs and cardiologists to deliver comprehensive care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate has a cardiology/EP background, ACLS/BLS, and 2–3 years of cardiac experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Licensed or license-eligible Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• 2–3 years of Cardiac experience preferred
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Team player with ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and follow-up visits with emphasis on electrophysiology
• Manage patients with AFib, AFib/Flutter, SVT, VT, syncope and other rhythm disorders
• Perform pre/post-procedure evaluations for EP studies, ablations, and device implantations
• Develop individualized treatment plans including antiarrhythmic medications and anticoagulation monitoring
• Monitor and manage patients with CIEDs (pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs, loop recorders) and interpret device interrogations
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, medications, and long-term management
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and participate in quality initiatives
