Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Electrophysiology/Cardiology service. The APP will manage EP patients, including those with devices, under physician supervision but with independent clinic templates and daytime hours.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, education, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care in a busy EP setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level APRN or PA program.
• Licensed in NC as an APRN or PA; board certification as applicable.
• DEA registration and licensure requirements as specified by state.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history, perform physicals, assess and interpret data.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with appropriate pharmacotherapy.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with clinicians to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead and participate in initiatives to improve productivity and care delivery.
• Document care thoroughly and adhere to policies, privileging, and regulatory standards.
