Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology Electrophysiology team in Chapel Hill. The APP will see EP patients, including those with devices, with a primary focus on EP care and independent clinic scheduling within a shared supervising-physician model.

Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. The role requires graduation from an accredited APRN/PA program, NC licensure, and board certification as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
  • Board certification as applicable by the department.
  • Licensed in North Carolina as an APRN or Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical: obtain health history, perform physicals, interpret tests, develop treatment plans and schedules.
  • Education: educate patients/families and collaborate with clinicians to promote continuity of care.
  • Leadership: provide instruction to physicians and staff and participate in outreach and program development.
  • Professional: communicate respectfully with patients and team, ensure timely care and accurate documentation.
  • Quality/Research: engage in quality improvement and contribute to clinical programs.
