Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for the Adult Electrophysiology unit at Duke University Hospital. The APP collaborates with physicians and the EP team to provide direct cardiology care, focusing on EP patients in pre-/post-procedural areas and during admissions.

Primary hours are four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours). Hours may vary by service needs; the role includes opportunities for leadership, education, and research within Duke’s comprehensive

Qualifications

• Graduate-level Acute Care NP program for NPs or ARC-PA-accredited PA program for PAs is required.
• National certification as Acute Care NP or NCCPA certification for PA is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cardiovascular patients across pre-, peri-, and post-procedure phases.
• Obtain histories, perform exams, and document patient workups and progress notes.
• Order labs and diagnostics; explain procedures and prepare patients for tests.
