Job summary

The Panther Group in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Test Prep Technician to support the preparation, programming, inspection, and testing of electronic devices before shipment.

You will load software and firmware, perform light assembly and cosmetic inspections, run quality checks, and troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be comfortable with computers, detail-oriented, and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency and data entry accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized software, hardware, and programming tools.
• Previous experience installing software, updating firmware, flashing devices, or programming electronic equipment is preferred.
• Experience with electronics testing, quality assurance, or manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write in English, as training and work instructions are provided in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, load, and update software or firmware on electronic devices and equipment using designated computer applications and tools.
• Connect electronic equipment to computers and follow on-screen prompts to complete programming and configuration tasks.
• Perform light assembly, cosmetic inspections, test preparation, and quality assurance checks.
• Verify that software installations are completed correctly and that devices meet established quality standards.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow established workflows, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Complete testing documentation and reports as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and meet production and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and Test Technicians to support daily production goals.
