Job summary

Ellwood National Forge Company in Corry, PA is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Technician II to support PLC changes, instrument calibration, and equipment optimization across multiple facilities including Irvine/Warren. The role reports to Facilities Manager Adam Green.

You will diagnose electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and coordinate with operators to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Two-Year Associate degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent in experience of 8 years in NC, CNC, and PLC controls.
• Strong understanding of electrical practices, capabilities and quality requirements.
• Basic knowledge of machine tools including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform PLC programming changes and modifications.
• Execute instrument calibration (DC powered loops, 4-20 mA, and Digital).
• Implement configurations on instrumentation with the HART handheld communicator.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant operating systems with minimal downtime; troubleshoot electronic components, PLCs, and controls.
• Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, and boards.
• Maintain equipment logs recording performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Enter information into computers to copy programs or draw, modify, or store schematics.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Consult with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan layouts or resolve problems.
