Job summary

Ellwood Quality Steels is seeking an Electronics Technician to install and maintain electronic/electrical systems and instrumentation, calibrate equipment, and troubleshoot defects. You will work with PLC controls, develop PM schedules in the CMMS, and read electrical drawings with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires an Associate's or higher in Electronics Technology (or related field), at least 2 years of maintenance experience, and the ability to pass a written electronics

• Associates or better in Electronics Technology or related field
• High school diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary degree in electronics or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in electronic/electrical maintenance (steelmaking experience is a plus)
• Ability to pass a written electronics exam
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
• Criminal background check required
• Drug screening required upon offer (Drug-Free Workplace Program)
• Must provide proof of High School Diploma or GED upon hire

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electronic/electrical systems and instrumentation
• Calibrate electronic/electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including load cells
• Understand and work with PLC controls and programming
• Develop PM schedules and job plans using the CMMS System
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Abide by all company policies, plant safety rules, and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Maintain excellent attendance and take on other duties as assigned
