  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and also independently.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Regular attendance as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PLC programming changes and modifications.
  • Execute instrument calibration (DC powered loops, 4-20 mA, and Digital).
  • Configure instrumentation with the HART handheld communicator.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant operating systems to minimize downtime.
  • Service electronic equipment by testing and replacing faulty components.
  • Analyze electrical systems and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain equipment logs of performance problems, repairs, and tests.
  • Set up and test industrial equipment.
  • Document programs or schematics using computer software.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Consult with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan layouts.
  • Coordinate with other workers installing or maintaining equipment.
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction and product improvements.
  • Abide by all company safety policies.
  • Meet attendance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Job description

There is an hourly Electrical/Electronic Technician II position in Corry, PA, however work assignments and projects will include the Irvine/Warren facilities. This position reports to Adam Green, Facilities Manager.

Electrical/Electronic Technicians- Essential Job Functions – but not limited to the following:

  • Perform PLC programming changes and modifications
  • Execute instrument calibration (DC powered loops, 4-20 mA, and Digital)
  • Implement configurations on instrumentation with the HART handheld communicator
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant operating systems with minimal downtime; troubleshoot electronic components, PLC’s, and controls
  • Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.
  • Analyze all electrical systems, support and effectively recommend improvements or changes to ensure efficiency, dependability, and currency;
  • Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests;
  • Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly;
  • Enter information into computer to copy program or to draw, modify, or store schematics, applying knowledge of software package used;
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, repairing, or upgrading equipment; to detect and prevent problems;
  • Consult with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan layout of equipment or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance;
  • Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems;
  • Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components;
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, or suggestions for product improvements;
  • Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules;
  • Meets attendance requirements
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-Year Associate degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent in experience of 8 years in NC, CNC, and PLC controls.
  • Through understanding of electrical practices, capabilities and quality requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of machine tools including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics
  • Strong math skills and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work well with a team while also working independently.
  • Detail oriented and ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Access and Excel).
  • Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function.
