Job summary

Qualifications

Two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent with 8 years' experience in NC, CNC, and PLC controls.
Strong understanding of electrical practices, capabilities and quality requirements.
Knowledge of machine tools including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Proficient with oscilloscopes.
Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
Strong math and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented yet able to work independently.
Detail-oriented with good organization and prioritization.
Good written and verbal communication; computer skills (MS Word, Access, Excel).
Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

Perform PLC programming changes and modifications.
Execute instrument calibration (DC powered loops, 4-20 mA, and Digital).
Troubleshoot and repair plant operating systems with minimal downtime; troubleshoot electronic components, PLC’s, and controls.
Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.
Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
