Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronics Technician to join the Amherst Systems team in Buffalo, NY, focusing on RF product testing and microelectronic tuning. You will work in a modern facility with a 9/80 schedule, comprehensive benefits, and collaboration with engineers to develop state-of-the-art electronic warfare components.

The role requires hands-on testing of RF/microwave hardware, reading schematics, and strong manual dexterity. A high school diploma and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics knowledge gained through schooling, the military or work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures and drawings.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF microelectronic modules, amplifiers, switches, and mixers.
• Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions.
• Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings and other test procedures.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope.
• Record production data accurately in travelers, shop floor systems, and quality records.
• Follow safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Complete in-house workmanship criteria training.
