Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Buffalo, NY seeks an Electronics Technician 3 to join the Amherst Systems team. You will test RF and digital components, troubleshoot under engineering guidance, and perform maintenance on test equipment while documenting actions and supporting production goals.

The role requires manual dexterity, interpretation of schematics, and the ability to work under a microscope on small assemblies. Travel up to 10% and 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience or military electronics schooling plus 2 years of experience.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment.
• Experience with RF and digital test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products and digital circuit cards per technical specs.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope as required.
• Maintain documentation of actions performed in applicable systems.
• Assist other team members as needed.
