Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience; or an associate’s degree in electronics with 2 years of experience; or 2 years of U.S. military electronic schooling with 2 years experience.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment.
• Manual dexterity to handle and assemble small parts.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Tests and troubleshoots RF products including RF drawers, discrete RF components and microelectronic parts per specifications.
• Tests and troubleshoots digital circuit cards per engineering instructions.
• Analyzes equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and test systems.
• Diagnoses malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams and test procedures.
• Removes, replaces and repairs system issues as required.
• Performs RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope for much of the day.
