Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Electronics Technician (2nd Shift) to test and troubleshoot RF and digital circuitry in a state-of-the-art facility. The role includes microscope-assisted tuning, calibration of test equipment, and close collaboration with engineers.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and electronics knowledge. Eligible for 9/80 schedule, health benefits, 401(k) match, and PTO; U.S. citizenship preferred.

Qualifications

• Electronics knowledge gained through schooling, the military or work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures and drawings.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills."
• Experience with test equipment and soldering/electronic assembly processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF Microelectronic, RF amplifiers, switches, mixers, etc.
• Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and integrated test systems.
• Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope with precision.
• Record production data accurately in travelers and shop floor systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to modify test procedures.
• Follow safety, ESD, FOD and cleanliness guidelines.
