Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our Maintenance team. You will maintain and troubleshoot all plant electrical and electronic systems, gather equipment data for Maximo, and write preventive maintenance procedures.

You will also create spare parts lists and manage requisitions. Qualifications include an associate degree in electronics or related apprenticeship, blueprint reading, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Instrumentation or completion of a 4-year Apprenticeship.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative in current position and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• Overall good work record (which includes attendance, safety, job performance, flexibility, and team behaviors)
• Associates degree in Electronics/Instrumentation and/or completion of a 4-year Apprenticeship or 5 years of industrial electronics maintenance experience
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Strong troubleshooting abilities
• Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated strong initiative in current position
• Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
• Must provide own tools for this position
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, call-ins and other times as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills PLC experience AC variable speed drive experience Networking experience Good mechanical skills and/or previous technical training

Pay $36.29 - $45.83/ hour, depending on experience and qualifications Plus shift differential of $2.00 / hour for any hours worked on 3rd Shift $1,500 Sign-On Bonus: $250 paid after week 1, plus $250 at the end of each of the next 5 quarters (must be actively employed at the time of payout)

Schedule 3rd Shift (Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) Clock out for lunch & other days and hours as needed
