McKee Foods Corporation in Stuarts Draft, VA invites applications for a Material Handler on the 2nd shift (Sun-Thu, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.). The role involves supporting production by stocking materials, loading/unloading, and keeping detailed records.

Pay starts at $23.88–$25.10 per hour, with a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift. Onsite position with opportunities for cross-training, safety and LEAN-focused improvements, and benefits.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.

• Willing to cross train and cover other positions as needed.
• Willing to acquire an electric pallet jack license.

Responsibilities

• Determines need for materials based on production schedule and availability.
• Opens containers and replenishes line supplies.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials used on daily production sheet.
• Enters data into computer and prints labels using applicable data.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and cleans work area, machines and equipment to assist machine operators.
• Makes simple adjustments to equipment to accept product or manufacturing materials.
• Operates pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.
• Performs disassembly and assembly of product tables and line equipment.
• Perform all other duties as needed.
