Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Operator II for the 2nd shift, Sunday-Thursday, 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., at Plant 5 in Collegedale, TN. The role focuses on operating production equipment, monitoring procedures, and ensuring product quality and safety.

You will perform quality checks, trouble equipment, and support efficient lines with team members. The position requires lifting up to 50-100 lbs, steel-toed shoes, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a LTO license.

Responsibilities

  • Makes mixes in the area of brew, dough, forming, proofing, frying, and glazing the product to ensure that they are made correctly.
  • The make-up table, fryer, and proofer
  • Accurately following formulas
  • Keeps an accurate maintenance of inventory
  • Maintains accurate documentation of lot numbers and strainer checks
  • Moderates equipment set-up and maintenance
  • Responsible for keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly and keeps waste to a minimum
  • Documents production reports and enters measurement data and analyzes that information
  • Performs other duties as needed
  • Attend mandatory tiered (huddle) meetings
  • Managing daily improvement boards
  • Following standard work
  • Participating in team lead problem solving activities

Job Summary

As a Process Operator II at McKee Foods, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and troubleshooting equipment issues. You will work closely with team members to maintain high standards of product quality and adhere to safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OPM, HP 9000 and PC experience
  • Mixing/Depositor/Oven/Cutter/Cremer Capper and Crème Operator experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Experience with yeast dough, making brew, yeast dough make-up tables, proofers, and steam kettle mixers
